What is a recovery seed?
Your recovery seed is a list of 12, 20 or 24 words, generated offline on the device itself. It is the only backup of your coins. Write it on the card provided, store it somewhere safe and never type it into a computer, phone or website.
How does firmware stay trustworthy?
Trezor firmware is fully open source, so anyone can read it, and it is signature-verified at every boot. If the signature does not match, the device warns you instead of starting. Updates are installed through Trezor Suite, and you confirm each one on the screen.
What if I lose my device?
Your coins are not stored on the device, they live on the blockchain. Buy a new Trezor, choose recovery in Trezor Suite and enter your seed words on the device. Anyone who finds your lost wallet still needs your PIN to use it.

How do I spot a phishing attempt?
